Job Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of SOLVIT AFRICA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management, a passion for education and technology, and a commitment to driving the growth and success of our company. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing
all departments, ensuring the seamless execution of our training programs, and maintaining relationships with key partners.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve SOLVIT AFRICA ’s business objectives and growth targets.
- Lead, motivate, and mentor a diverse team to foster a high-performance culture aligned with the company’s vision and values.
Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments, including training, talent placement, and any other service needed as the company grows.
- Monitor and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Program Oversight
- Ensure the successful delivery of our tech training programs and job placement services.
- Collaborate with program manager to refine curricula and adapt training trends to meet market demands.
Business Development:
- Build and maintain relationships with local and international partners.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships and client acquisition.
Financial Management:
- Manage budgets, forecast financial performance, and ensure that financial targets are met.
- Oversee resource allocation and manage risks to maximize profitability.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Represent Solvit Africa at industry events, forums, and networking opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including but not limited to investors, partners, and other entities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. MBA or equivalent preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role, preferably in the EdTech or technology sector.
- Proven track record in strategic planning and business development.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive company-wide initiatives.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in managing tech training programs or educational initiatives.
- Knowledge of the African tech ecosystem and talent landscape.
- Experience in financial management and budget oversight.
- Proficiency in English, and speaking other African Business languages will be an added value .
