SOLVIT AFRICA Is Now a Cisco Academy
We're proud to announce that SOLVIT AFRICA is now a Cisco Academy. We have joined the Cisco Networking Academy program, one of the longest-standing IT skills-to-jobs programs in the world, and we now teach the Cisco Networking Academy curricula in Kigali, Rwanda.
For more than ten years, SOLVIT AFRICA has trained talent and connected it with employers across Africa and beyond, and more than 2,000 talents have come through our programs. Becoming a Cisco Academy adds a globally recognized curriculum to that work. The skills our learners build will now match what employers around the world expect.
What this means for learners
We are now one of thousands of academies in the Cisco Networking Academy program, so we can offer Cisco Networking Academy courses taught by SOLVIT AFRICA instructors. Here is what you get:
- A curriculum designed by Cisco: It is the same course content used by academies worldwide, built and kept up to date by the Cisco Networking Academy program.
- Instructor-led classes: Our instructors guide every class, answer your questions and help you through the hard parts.
- Hands-on practice: Labs and practical exercises let you learn by doing, not just by reading.
- A path to certification: The courses prepare you for industry-recognized certifications.
What this means for employers
Companies that hire through SOLVIT AFRICA already get vetted, job-ready talent. Now they can also hire professionals trained on the Cisco Networking Academy curricula, the same courses taught at academies around the world. That gives employers a clear, shared standard for what our talent has learned.
Find us on the academy locator
Learners use the academy locator on netacad.com to find an academy near them. SOLVIT AFRICA is now listed there, so learners in Rwanda and across the region can find us.
How to get started
Want to learn with us? Here is how to begin:

We're excited about what this means for our learners, our employers and the wider tech community in Rwanda. Talent is everywhere, and now there is one more way to grow it.
